Laboratory Engineer

About the role

The Laboratory Engineer will manage and support all teaching laboratories at Bright Riders School, ensuring equipment is ready, safe, and aligned with curriculum needs. Reporting to the Lead Teacher, the role combines hands‑on technical work with collaboration with teaching staff to deliver high‑quality, project‑based learning experiences for Arab youth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of electrical, mechanical and general subject labs, including equipment preparation, maintenance and safety compliance.
• Prepare and schedule laboratory equipment for teaching sessions and demonstrate proper usage to staff and students.
• Conduct regular audits of equipment and laboratory practices to uphold health and safety standards.
• Support teachers in developing and implementing laboratory‑based teaching modules and projects.
• Train teaching staff and students on new equipment and technologies.
• Coordinate with curriculum management to prioritize purchases of equipment and consumables within budget constraints.
• Implement necessary modifications to lab facilities to support evolving technology education.
• Perform any other reasonably related duties as assigned.
