Land Surveyor – Roads, Bridges & Infrastructure

About the role

The Land Surveyor will be responsible for performing precise surveying and setting‑out activities for stormwater and micro‑tunnelling works, including shafts, tunnels, pipelines, chambers, and related structures. The role ensures that all construction alignments, levels, and coordinates are established accurately and in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and RTA/DM standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform topographic, control and setting‑out surveys for stormwater and micro‑tunnelling works, including pipelines, shafts, manholes and related civil structures.
• Establish, verify and maintain survey control points, benchmarks and reference grids in coordination with the contractor’s survey team.
• Check and verify horizontal and vertical alignments, pipe inverts, tunnel drives and shaft locations before and during construction.
• Conduct as‑built surveys and validate contractors’ as‑built drawings prior to submission.
• Monitor micro‑tunnelling drive alignments and breakthrough coordinates, ensuring compliance with tolerances.
• Maintain up‑to‑date survey records, field books and digital data files, ensuring full traceability.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of surveying and setting‑out experience on infrastructure projects, especially stormwater drainage and micro‑tunnelling.
• RTA approval and certification for micro‑tunnelling works (mandatory).
• Prior experience in the UAE, particularly Dubai, with familiarity of RTA and DM procedures.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary supervision team.
