Laundry Attendant – Abu Dhabi Grand Canal

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Laundry Attendant to join the housekeeping team at The Ritz‑Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal. The role involves operating and monitoring laundry and dry‑cleaning equipment to ensure guests receive clean, high‑quality linens and garments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate washing, dry‑cleaning and drying machines, add chemicals and clean lint traps.
• Identify stained or damaged items and decide on repair, spot‑treatment, rewash or discard.
• Inspect cleaned items, place them in linen carts and fold to required sizes manually or with folding machines.
• Set dryer times and temperatures according to fabric types.
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning dryer screens, filters and drain traps after each load.
• Maintain accurate laundry records and follow safety, security and uniform policies.
• Support team goals, report hazards and contribute ideas for efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb.
• Comfort working in narrow, confined or elevated spaces and on uneven surfaces.
• Good eye for detail to inspect cleanliness and detect defects.
• Commitment to follow company safety, security and confidentiality policies.

Required skills

• Operating commercial laundry and dry‑cleaning machinery.
• Basic knowledge of chemical handling for laundry processes.
• Accurate record‑keeping.
