Lead Applied Scientist

About the role

Inception42, a G42 company, is looking for a visionary Lead Applied Scientist to drive advanced AI research and translate breakthroughs into real‑world solutions. You will shape the research agenda, design next‑generation models and mentor a high‑performing team of scientists and engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute Inception’s applied AI research roadmap, spotting emerging technologies.
• Architect and oversee development of generative and deep‑learning models that fuse vision, language, audio and sensor data.
• Lead, mentor and inspire a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
• Translate cutting‑edge research into scalable, commercial AI products.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to align AI solutions with business objectives.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in AI/ML research with a strong track record of publishing or delivering impactful solutions.
• Extensive experience (approximately 10 years) leading technical teams and complex projects.
• Deep understanding of generative, multimodal and computer‑vision AI.
• Ability to bridge research and product development, driving AI commercialization.
