Lead Construction Engineer Offshore Platform

About the role

The Lead Construction Engineer will head full‑cycle offshore construction execution for mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation disciplines on multiple platforms. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure all activities align with EPC contracts, ADNOC specifications and project KPIs while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all construction activities on offshore platforms, supervising engineers, supervisors, technicians, riggers, fitters, welders, electricians and instrumentation teams.
• Plan, execute and supervise heavy‑lifting operations for compressors, dryers, receivers, pressure vessels, pipe spools, transformers, MCC/SWGR panels and skid packages.
• Review and approve lifting studies, rigging plans, crane load charts, deck loading checks and engineered lifting procedures.
• Coordinate marine spread operations using crane barges, jack‑ups and supply vessels for safe equipment positioning.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC lifting guidelines, LOLER, API RP 2D and project HSE standards.
• Provide technical leadership for mechanical installation, piping fabrication, offshore spool fit‑up, welding, NDT, hydro‑testing and system handover.
• Oversee electrical installation (cable pulling, termination, tray installation, SWGR/MCC placement, earthing, testing) and instrumentation installation (JB mounting, hook‑up, loop checking, calibration, F&G device installation).
• Synchronise multidisciplinary work sequences to avoid rework and schedule conflicts.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading offshore construction projects, preferably on platforms.
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards and procedures is an advantage.
• Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage diverse technical teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving capability for field‑level mechanical, piping and routing issues.
