Lead Design Engineer – Instrumentation & Automation (Offshore)

About the role

The Lead I&C Engineer – Offshore is responsible for engineering design review and analysis on major oil & gas projects, both local and international. You will lead multiple projects, prepare instrumentation and automation documents, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute FEED and detailed engineering deliverables for brown‑field projects such as wellhead towers, process platforms, and islands.
• Prepare and review instrumentation and automation design documents, drawings, and specifications using tools like SmartPlant (SPI), AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
• Coordinate with mechanical teams and vendors for technical evaluation of gas compressor, heater, and chemical injection packages.
• Manage a team of engineers and designers, monitor budget and man‑hours, and ensure timely project execution.
• Participate in HAZOP, SIL studies, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and as‑built preparation while ensuring compliance with client, statutory, HSE, and quality requirements.

Required profile

• Engineering graduate (BSc or MSc) with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in instrumentation and automation for oil & gas, petrochemical or chemical industries.
• At least 8 years in a senior role, with proven FEED and EPC project delivery to ADNOC or similar clients.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; fluent English (Arabic a plus).
