Lead DevOps Engineer

About the role

Globant is looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to take full ownership of its CI/CD strategy, containerization, Helm chart management, and continuous testing integration for AI agent workflows. The role sits at the intersection of AI solution design and cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of Python‑based agentic applications.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical liaison for clients, leading discussions, shaping strategy, and setting delivery expectations.
• Design, build, and optimise complex GitLab CI pipelines for non‑deterministic AI agent workflows.
• Maintain and optimise multi‑stage Dockerfiles using enterprise‑hardened base images.
• Author and maintain Helm charts for deploying micro‑services on client‑managed Kubernetes clusters.
• Integrate pytest, evaluation frameworks, and LLM observability tools into automated CI workflows.
• Develop lean Python‑native proxies or bridges to resolve network and runner isolation issues with LLM endpoints.
• Collaborate closely with internal AI solution leads and external Azure/Kubernetes infrastructure teams.

Required profile

• Strong client‑facing leadership with excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to drive DevOps initiatives in fast‑moving AI environments.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams and guiding technical discussions.
