Lead Electrical Design Engineer - Global Data Center

About the role

Join Eaton’s Global Data Centre Design & Engineering team in Dubai as a Lead Electrical Design Engineer. You will shape worldwide electrical reference designs and standards for mission‑critical data centre projects, working across IEC and North American codes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electrical system design for hyperscale and enterprise data centres, including MV/LV distribution, transformers, UPS, protection and grounding.
• Develop and maintain global reference designs, architectures and engineering guidelines.
• Perform core engineering tasks such as load calculations, equipment selection and technical validation.
• Prepare technical proposals, engineering documentation and deliver client‑facing presentations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and global customers from concept through detailed design.

Required profile

• Senior‑level electrical engineering experience in data centre or mission‑critical facilities.
• Proven ability to lead projects across multiple regions and standards.
• Strong communication skills for internal and client meetings.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IEC standards and North American codes (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, UL).
• Expertise in MV and LV design, power distribution, transformer and UPS systems.
• Experience with grounding and protection system design.
• Ability to perform calculations, equipment selection and technical validation.
