Lead Electrical Engineer (Offshore)

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to direct all electrical engineering activities for offshore and onshore oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves leading design, analysis and execution from concept studies through commissioning, with a focus on safety, reliability and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate electrical engineering work for offshore and onshore developments across the full project lifecycle (Concept, FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC support, Commissioning, Start‑up).
• Serve as the technical authority for power generation (including solar), distribution, protection systems, hazardous‑area installations and energy management.
• Travel on a rotational basis to ADNOC offshore sites to conduct surveys, brownfield assessments, verify existing installations and gather engineering data.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, industry standards, project schedules and quality expectations.
• Mentor and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team, providing guidance and technical reviews.

Required profile

• Valid OPITO‑approved T‑BOSIET/BOSIET and H₂S certifications with at least six months validity.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical engineering for oil & gas, including offshore projects.
• Proven leadership experience in delivering complex electrical systems.
