Lead Electrical Engineer – Offshore (PMC)

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee the design, installation and maintenance of electrical systems on offshore platforms for a high‑profile client in the UAE. This senior role combines technical leadership with responsibility for safety, reliability and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of offshore electrical systems to meet project specifications and operational requirements.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with international safety standards and local regulations.
• Develop, coordinate and supervise maintenance programmes to guarantee system reliability and availability.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams, providing technical guidance and reviewing engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders and internal disciplines to resolve technical issues and optimise performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical engineering for offshore platforms, preferably in the energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards and best practices for offshore electrical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
