Lead Engineer Construction - Mechanical

About the role

Penspen is seeking a Lead Engineer for Mechanical Construction to join a major PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on overseeing site execution, managing technical submittals, and ensuring successful MEP installations across HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and piping systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on‑site execution of mechanical construction activities and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Review, approve and track technical submittals, drawings and specifications.
• Supervise installation of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and piping systems ensuring compliance with project standards.
• Provide technical guidance, resolve engineering issues and ensure quality control.
• Mentor and manage junior engineers and construction staff.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized university.
• Minimum 18 years of relevant experience, including at least 10 years on mega oil and gas processing projects.
• 10+ years in mechanical construction with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
• Prior experience with ADNOC projects is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and piping systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP software.
