Lead Inspector – Topside (m/f/d)

About the role

SeaRenergy Offshore is seeking an experienced Lead Inspector (m/f/d) for Topside construction. The position is freelance, based on‑site at Port Rashid, Dubai, and supports the Site Management Topside Construction project from approximately April 2026 until 2030.

Key responsibilities

• Perform welding and coating inspections on steel structures, ensuring compliance with BSH and project specifications.
• Coordinate the inspection team: allocate tasks, produce daily reports, and control non‑conformities.
• Act as Deputy Site Manager, providing administrative support and representing the Site Manager when absent.
• Serve as the on‑site escalation point for resolvable issues.
• Monitor and verify documentation such as WPS/WPQR, welding plans, material and filler certificates, coating data, equipment calibration, and personnel qualifications.
• Manage punch items for the discipline using dedicated tools.
• Participate in ITP hold/witness points, HAT, and final visual inspections prior to sail‑out.

Required profile

• Technical background – university engineering degree (Master’s/Dipl.-Ing.) or equivalent apprenticeship/technical qualification.
• Minimum five years (≈60 months) of relevant experience in offshore or onshore steel construction.
• Certification in welding inspection (e.g., IWE, EWE, IWI‑C, CSWIP 3.1/3.2).
