Lead Instrumentation and Control Engineer – Greenfield

About the role

The Lead Instrumentation and Control Engineer will head all instrumentation, control, automation, telecom and safety system engineering activities for ADNOC Offshore greenfield and brownfield projects. The role ensures that designs meet ADNOC Offshore standards, international codes, safety and quality requirements throughout FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Instrumentation & Control engineering team during FEED, EPC and execution phases.
• Plan, coordinate and review all I&C deliverables, ensuring compliance with project specifications and ADNOC Offshore standards.
• Collaborate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Telecom and HSE disciplines.
• Provide technical direction, mentorship and resource allocation for senior engineers, engineers and designers.
• Develop and review instrument index, datasheets, I/O lists, hook‑up drawings, cable schedules, installation details, location plans, wiring and loop diagrams.
• Select and qualify field instruments for hazardous offshore environments, including pressure transmitters, temperature devices, flow meters, level instruments, analyzers, control valves, on‑off valves and safety devices.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading instrumentation and control engineering on offshore projects.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC Offshore engineering standards and international codes.
• Hands‑on experience across FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start‑up phases.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.
