Lead Instrumentation & Control Engineer

About the role

The Lead I&C Engineer will provide advanced engineering expertise for instrumentation and control systems across FEED, detailed engineering, EPC and PMC phases of ADNOC projects. The role is primarily engineering‑focused with limited construction support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and review I&C engineering deliverables for oil & gas projects, ensuring compliance with ADNOC, IEC, ISA and API standards.
• Review and approve instrument index, I/O lists, control philosophies, cause‑and‑effect diagrams, datasheets, hook‑up drawings, cable schedules, loop drawings and JB schedules.
• Evaluate and review DCS, ESD, fire‑and‑gas, SCADA and PLC system documents, including system architecture and integration philosophies.
• Coordinate with telecom, electrical, process and mechanical disciplines for interface management.
• Conduct SIL classification studies, alarm management reviews and assess cybersecurity requirements where applicable.
• Review FAT/SAT procedures and vendor technical documentation, managing vendor comments and package compliance.
• Monitor EPC contractor engineering progress, provide technical guidance and participate in HAZOP and SIL workshops.

Required profile

• Advanced engineering expertise in instrumentation and control for oil & gas projects.
• Experience with design review, engineering coordination, technical assurance and vendor management.
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards, IEC, ISA and API codes.
