Lead Interface Engineer

About the role

The Lead Interface Engineer will be responsible for managing all interface activities during the FEED and EPC phases for projects based in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the Process/Commissioning Manager, the role serves as the primary liaison between internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders to ensure seamless technical coordination throughout design and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead regular interface meetings between the company and contractors.
• Develop, maintain and control Interface Point registers and IP databases throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide weekly and monthly progress reports on interface status, highlighting risks and issues.
• Ensure timely completion of battery‑limit tie‑ins and other scope‑related interface activities.
• Act as the technical integration focal point, defining and executing internal and external interface requirements.
• Collaborate with operations, material handling and turnaround teams to align interface execution with project schedules.
• Participate in scope reviews, implementation strategy discussions and execution planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience in engineering coordination on large‑scale FEED/EPC projects.
• Strong ability to communicate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple interface registers and schedules.
• Knowledge of process, commissioning and construction phases in the energy or resources sector.
