Lead Offshore Construction Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Offshore Construction Engineer to oversee multiple offshore projects, coordinating construction activities from start‑up through close‑out. Reporting to the Offshore Construction Manager, you will drive execution plans, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Offshore Construction Manager in preparing project deliverables, execution plans, construction schedules and techno‑commercial analyses.
• Prepare construction aids such as load registers, marine spread requirements and pipe‑coating scopes, and monitor fabrication progress.
• Review engineering documents and drawings from a constructability perspective and develop detailed scopes, schedules and interface documents for offshore subcontracted works.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities, monitor progress and performance, and support procurement of offshore materials.
• Participate in risk assessment, method and constructability meetings, and ensure implementation of safety, HSE and quality standards.
• Prepare risk registers, job cards, micro‑schedules and manpower histograms for offshore hook‑up and shutdown activities.
• Lead variation orders/claims, compile technical inputs and support invoicing clarification.

Required profile

• Proven experience in offshore construction engineering, preferably on multiple simultaneous projects.
• Strong knowledge of offshore execution planning, construction scheduling and risk assessment.
• Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and interfacing with procurement, marine and field teams.
• Familiarity with offshore safety, HSEMS and quality audit processes.
