Lead Pipeline Engineer

About the role

Wood is seeking a Lead Pipeline Engineer for the ADNOC Offshore US LTDP project in Abu Dhabi. The role provides technical expertise across all pipeline design activities, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and relevant codes while driving design optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor pipeline design and engineering with the EPC contractor to meet project expectations and timelines.
• Perform regular technical reviews of pipeline engineering deliverables from consultants and contractors.
• Ensure integration and quality of overall pipeline engineering within the IPMT team.
• Review and approve design work, confirming compliance with ADNOC specifications, codes, and best practices.
• Participate in equipment sizing, selection, layout, model, and design reviews.
• Provide technical assistance during installation, pre‑commissioning, and commissioning phases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers, ADNOC operations, and site interfaces to resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 180 months (15 years) of experience in pipeline design and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC standards, relevant industry codes, and best practices.
• Proven ability to lead technical reviews and coordinate with EPC contractors and consultants.
• Experience in equipment sizing, design optimisation, and model review.
