Lead Planning And Cost Control Engineer - Offshore

About the role

The Lead Planning & Cost Control Engineer is responsible for the overall project control function on offshore oil & gas projects, ensuring that planning, scheduling, cost control and risk management are executed in line with the Project Execution Plan. The role works closely with the Project Control Manager and senior project team members to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor the baseline project schedule, including integrated schedules across multiple contractors and interfaces.
• Perform earned value management, cost variance analysis, risk assessments and provide performance reporting to senior management.
• Support contract, procurement and commercial activities, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
• Generate regular progress, forecast and variance reports and guide the preparation of progress certifications and invoice payments.
• Continuously improve project control procedures, tools and governance across the project.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas or petrochemical project controls, with at least 5 years in a senior lead role.
• Proven experience on offshore projects, preferably ADNOC, and familiarity with GCC market practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams of specialists, senior engineers and engineers.
