Lead Plumbing and Firefighting Engineer

About the role

This senior position leads the design and delivery of plumbing and firefighting systems for major construction projects. The role combines technical expertise with team leadership to ensure high‑quality, code‑compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project targets using an integrated design approach.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks through systematic analysis.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and resolve all related comments and issues.
• Provide technical leadership for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical engineering design, guiding Level 1‑3 engineers.
• Supervise engineers in feasibility studies, conceptual and detailed designs, cost estimates, and calculations.
• Communicate progress and issues to stakeholders, including the client.
• Ensure all documentation, calculations, specifications, drawings, and BIM models reference relevant codes and are properly stored.
• Coordinate with senior leaders to secure skilled resources for project delivery.
• Mentor engineers, contribute to performance reviews, and support talent development.
• Conduct design reviews to validate new products and engineering solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of post‑graduate engineering design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional membership such as C.Eng, M.I.C.E., or P.E. preferred.
