Lead Project Manager – Major Projects

About the role

Wasael Property Management is seeking a Lead Project Manager to drive the end‑to‑end delivery of major projects across Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for ensuring projects meet scope, budget, schedule, quality and regulatory standards while leading multidisciplinary teams and managing key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring and successful delivery of assigned projects from initiation through handover.
• Develop and manage project execution plans, programmes, budgets, milestones and resource allocations.
• Coordinate activities across design, technical, commercial, procurement, construction, HSE and other functions.
• Manage consultants, contractors and subcontractors, ensuring performance against agreed requirements.
• Monitor progress against milestones and KPIs, implementing recovery or mitigation plans as needed.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies and constraints.
• Oversee project budgets, forecasts, variations and financial performance in collaboration with the Commercial team.
• Chair project progress and stakeholder meetings, ensuring actions are implemented.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, government authorities, consultants and contractors.
• Provide regular performance reports to senior management and lead resolution of significant issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Professional project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 is preferred.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the full project lifecycle, budgeting, scheduling and risk management.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage external partners effectively.
