Lead Quality Assurance Engineer – Mobile Applications

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to own the quality strategy for its mobile applications. You will work within an agile release train, shaping testing practices and ensuring that mobile products meet the highest standards of reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners, architects and developers to translate functional and non‑functional requirements into comprehensive end‑to‑end test scenarios.
• Coordinate testing of cross‑team dependencies and ensure test tools are correctly configured for metric collection.
• Guide software engineers in creating and maintaining automated functional tests within a continuous integration pipeline.
• Implement, maintain and evolve automation frameworks and test harnesses to keep tests robust and scalable.
• Ensure quality gate criteria are understood, met and continuously improved across the team.
• Support major delivery initiatives, minimizing customer impact and fostering team development.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering for complex, large‑scale software solutions.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor QA engineers, establishing automation and coding best practices.
• Strong knowledge of shift‑left and shift‑right testing approaches throughout the SDLC.
