Lead Rotating Equipment Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Lead Rotating Equipment Engineer to drive the mechanical engineering of rotating assets on a major project in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on safety leadership, technical review, and coordination with owners, licensors, contractors and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Champion project safety culture and engagement activities.
• Identify, evaluate and resolve mechanical rotating equipment engineering issues.
• Review and approve contractor deliverables, including equipment design, system layouts, specifications, calculations, drawings and material requisitions.
• Attend and contribute to technical meetings such as design reviews, 3‑D model reviews, constructability, SIL, EIA, HAZOP and HAZID sessions.
• Ensure compliance with design requirements, licensor PDPs, relevant codes, standards and best practices.
• Supervise the review process and coordinate engineering participation in design option analysis and business model validation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in rotating equipment mechanical engineering.
• Strong knowledge of licensor PDPs, design codes and industry standards.
• Ability to interpret and review calculations, specifications, plans and engineering studies.
• Effective communication with owners, licensors, contractors and vendors.
