Lead SOC Engineer (DevOps)

About the role

The Lead SOC Engineer (DevOps) will drive the design, automation and optimisation of large‑scale data and platform operations within our Security Operations Centre in Abu Dhabi. You will combine deep DevOps expertise with big‑data technologies to ensure reliable, secure and performant SOC services.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, deploy and maintain big‑data pipelines and platforms (ELK, CRIBL, Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Cloudera, Data Lake) supporting SOC monitoring and analytics.
• Automate deployment, configuration and routine maintenance using Azure DevOps Pipelines, Jenkins, Argo CD, Flux CD, Terraform, Ansible and Bash/Python scripting.
• Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, ensuring high availability and security.
• Develop, optimise and monitor ETL/ELT processes to guarantee data accuracy and integrity.
• Provide 24/7 expert support for system monitoring, incident diagnosis and resolution, reducing downtime.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data requirements, improve data quality and drive continuous SOC process improvements.
• Participate in architectural discussions, applying best‑practice design patterns and contributing to the SOC strategy.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on experience in DevOps and big‑data environments.
• Strong background in operating systems, APIs and data processing workflows.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive attitude towards automation.
