Lead SOC Engineer (Devops)

About the role

The Lead SOC Engineer (DevOps) will own and optimise large‑scale data and platform operations for the Security Operations Centre in Abu Dhabi. The role combines deep DevOps expertise with big‑data processing to ensure reliable, secure, and performant SOC services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain large‑scale data pipelines and big‑data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, Flink, ELK, CRIBL, Cloudera, Data Lake).
• Automate deployment, configuration and routine maintenance using Azure DevOps Pipelines, Jenkins, Argo CD, Flux CD, Terraform and Ansible.
• Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve system issues across cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on‑premise environments.
• Participate in architectural discussions, applying standard design patterns and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data requirements and guarantee data availability.
• Drive continuous improvement of SOC processes and contribute to the overall security strategy.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in DevOps, big‑data environments and security operations.
• Strong understanding of operating systems, APIs and scripting.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and work collaboratively.
