Lead Test Engineer – Banking Systems

About the role

Rakbank is seeking an experienced Lead Test Engineer to head testing initiatives for its core and digital banking solutions. The role combines technical leadership with hands‑on testing across multiple platforms, ensuring high‑quality releases for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end testing activities across SIT, UAT, performance testing and production releases.
• Design and implement test strategies, frameworks and automation solutions.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for core banking, digital channels, CRM, IVR, ATM, cards and integration points.
• Manage defect triage, QA governance, risk mitigation and release readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement using QA metrics, dashboards and reporting.
• Mentor on‑shore and off‑shore QA teams and coordinate with third‑party vendors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/testing experience, with at least 3 years in a lead or SME role supporting banking systems.
• Proven leadership of distributed QA teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Functional, integration, regression and automation testing.
• Experience with Selenium, UFT, JMeter, TestNG and Postman.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall and DevOps environments.
• Knowledge of core banking platforms, digital banking channels and payments systems.
