Learning Assistant – UAE Nationals

About the role

We are seeking a Learning Assistant to support the inclusive learning environment at Raha International School KCC in Abu Dhabi. The role works under the direction of the class teacher to help children engage with the curriculum and develop socially, emotionally and physically.

Key responsibilities

• Work with individual pupils or small groups as directed by the class teacher.
• Facilitate classroom activities, adapting strategies to ensure all children can access the curriculum.
• Assist in recording and presenting evidence of learning, including updates to Individual Education Plans.
• Support the well‑being of students by addressing physical, emotional and social needs.
• Perform minor administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing and preparing resources.
• Provide verbal and written feedback to the class teacher for reports and assessments.
• Accompany and supervise children on school trips and during break times.
• Communicate professionally with parents to uphold the school’s reputation.

Required profile

• Minimum high school education in English and Mathematics; a degree is preferred.
• Experience or strong aptitude for working with students; prior teaching or teaching‑assistant experience is advantageous.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Enthusiastic, team‑oriented and able to take initiative.
