Learning & Development Manager

About the role

The Learning & Development Manager reports to the Director of Talent & Culture and is responsible for identifying training needs and delivering cost‑effective learning solutions that support Fairmont The Palm’s strategic goals. The role ensures new hires receive comprehensive orientation and that ongoing training aligns with the hotel’s service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the management team to establish and maintain departmental orientation processes.
• Supervise on‑the‑job training tools, record training activities, and deliver sessions when required.
• Coordinate and facilitate the new‑hire orientation programme to create a positive first impression.
• Develop an annual training plan based on appraisal outcomes and performance development plans.
• Liaise regularly with department heads to address specific training requirements and attendance.
• Monitor the annual training budget with the Director of Talent & Culture, ensuring expenses stay within limits.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month experience in learning, development or related hospitality training functions.
• Strong understanding of luxury hotel standards and guest service culture.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
