Legal Advisor – Strategic Affairs

About the role

The Legal Advisor – Strategic Affairs will support the Strategic Affairs Division in shaping and implementing its legal framework, ensuring compliance with UAE laws and mitigating legal risks across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of the Division’s strategic objectives and operational plan.
• Assist in periodic reviews of strategic affairs policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with all organizational units on legal matters of concern.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies for identified legal risks.
• Monitor and ensure mitigation of legal risks in line with the Division’s risk profile.
• Negotiate, draft, and review contracts and agreements to protect the Division’s interests.
• Conduct legal analysis of complex beneficiary cases and provide input.
• Prepare agreements, memoranda of understanding, and legislative proposals for the Cabinet and Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
• Interpret new legislation and advise on its impact.
• Coordinate legal casework using internal and external resources.
• Support units in aligning internal policies with relevant legislation.
• Maintain and update legal and administrative databases while staying current on legal developments.

Required profile

• Law degree with relevant professional qualification.
• Experience in corporate, governmental, or strategic‑affairs legal advisory.
• Strong understanding of UAE legal framework and regulatory environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills.
