Legal Counsel – Real Estate & Construction

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑minded Legal Counsel to join a leading publicly listed property developer in Dubai. The role involves drafting and negotiating contracts, supporting company formation, and providing governance and intellectual‑property advice to minimise legal risk.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of legal agreements.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice to internal teams.
• Develop, interpret and maintain internal company policies.
• Conduct legal research and summarise relevant legislation.
• Maintain legal templates and departmental databases.
• Assist with company formations and secretarial duties.
• Liaise with external counsel on various matters, including contentious cases.
• Support the Senior Legal Director and act as a substitute when required.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies.

Required profile

• Qualified in a Common Law jurisdiction (e.g., UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa).
• 4‑6 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in real estate, property development or construction.
• Proven experience in complex commercial contracting and negotiations.
• Familiarity with multi‑jurisdictional regulatory environments.
