About the role

The Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI) is seeking a qualified Librarian to manage its library services and support teaching activities. The role involves overseeing information resources, delivering information literacy programmes and contributing to curriculum development.

Key responsibilities

• Manage library collections, cataloguing, and circulation using modern library systems.
• Develop and deliver information literacy and research skills workshops for students and staff.
• Collaborate with academic departments to align library resources with curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Provide reference and research support, ensuring up‑to‑date knowledge of library trends and technologies.
• Participate in teaching, assessment and competency‑based evaluation within the discipline.

Required profile

• Degree or postgraduate degree in Library and Information Science.
• Minimum five years of experience in the library sector.
• Recognised teaching qualification.
