Licensed Aircraft Engineer

About the role

Etihad is seeking experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join its world‑class maintenance team in Abu Dhabi. You will certify maintenance work on a diverse, modern fleet and lead technicians to ensure safety, efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Certify your own work and that of others, confirming tasks meet approved data and authorization scope.
• Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and on time.
• Perform maintenance in line with company, health‑and‑safety and airport regulations.
• Prepare materials, parts, tools and documentation at the start of each shift.
• Maintain a clean, hazard‑free environment to prevent Foreign Object Damage (FOD).
• Guide and assist technicians to ensure safe and effective practices.
• Conduct inspections of ground support equipment and company vehicles, completing required checklists.
• Promote and follow the Safety & Quality Management Manual, encouraging a culture of safety and positive reporting.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, university degree or equivalent.
• Valid Aircraft Maintenance License (GCAA, EASA Part‑66 or ICAO type convertible to GCAA).
• 7–10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 5 years of certifying experience in a line or base/light maintenance environment.
• 2–3 years of certifying experience on at least two Etihad type ratings (Airbus A320/330 NEO/350/380, Boeing 777/787) with company authorization.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong teamwork mindset.
