Lifting Appointed Person (AP) – Abu Dhabi

About the role

IntelTech Solutions & Consultancy is seeking an experienced Lifting Appointed Person (AP) to join a major oil & gas project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves planning, supervising and taking full accountability for all lifting operations on both onshore and offshore sites, ensuring compliance with international and client HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and approve lifting plans, risk assessments and method statements for routine, non‑routine and critical lifts.
• Supervise lifting operations on‑site, ensuring safe execution and adherence to HSE policies.
• Coordinate with engineering, rigging and operations teams to guarantee equipment readiness.
• Maintain documentation and reporting for all lifting activities.
• Provide technical guidance and training to site personnel on lifting best practices.

Required profile

• 3‑year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, subject to experience approval.
• Minimum 5 years of oil & gas lifting experience (offshore & onshore), with at least 3 years in an AP or similar supervisory role.
• Proven hands‑on competency as an Appointed Person for lifting equipment.
• Valid certifications such as LEEA APLO or approved AP training; ADNOC‑approved AP/Lifting Supervisor certification strongly preferred.
