Lowbed Driver

About the role

Cdhorizon is seeking an experienced Lowbed Driver to join its heavy equipment rental team in the UAE. You will be responsible for safely transporting excavators, loaders, generators and other heavy machinery to customer sites across all emirates while ensuring compliance with UAE traffic laws and company safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate low‑bed trailers to move heavy equipment and oversized loads to construction sites, industrial areas and other customer locations.
• Plan and follow approved routes, obtaining RTA permits for overweight or oversized loads when required.
• Load, unload and securely fasten equipment using chains, binders, straps and other devices.
• Conduct thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections, reporting any accidents, breakdowns or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery notes, fuel records and vehicle inspection reports.
• Obtain customer signatures on delivery/rental agreements and document any pre‑existing equipment damage.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as fueling, greasing and checking fluid levels, and alert supervisors to major repairs.
• Coordinate with dispatchers and site supervisors to manage delivery schedules and communicate delays.
• Follow all company HSE policies and wear required PPE on job sites.

Required profile

• Currently residing in the UAE with a valid UAE Heavy Vehicle Driving License (Category 4).
• Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
• 2–5 years of proven experience as a low‑bed or heavy‑equipment driver in the UAE.
• Good knowledge of UAE road networks, highways, industrial zones and construction sites.
• Strong understanding of load securement techniques and weight distribution.
• Familiarity with RTA permit procedures for oversized/overweight loads.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle checks.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Physically fit, reliable, punctual and customer‑focused.
