LPG Trader – Physical & Paper Trading

About the role

BxT, a joint venture between TotalEnergies and Bapco Energies, is seeking an experienced LPG Trader to join its Dubai‑based trading team. The role focuses on developing and managing both physical and paper LPG trading opportunities, with a strong emphasis on commercial performance, physical optimisation and shipping economics.

Key responsibilities

• Trade physical LPG cargoes across spot and term markets, identifying profitable arbitrage opportunities.
• Develop and execute LPG trading strategies in both physical and paper markets, accountable for risk and value creation.
• Monetise optionality across cargo specifications, locations, timing and logistics.
• Analyse global LPG fundamentals, supply‑demand dynamics and regional arbitrage economics to form actionable views.
• Integrate chartering and freight economics into trading decisions, evaluating vessel availability, freight rates and voyage economics.
• Negotiate and execute freight solutions with shipbrokers, owners and internal stakeholders.
• Assess full economics of transactions, including commodity value, freight, terminal costs and operational constraints.
• Maintain relationships with LPG producers, suppliers, customers, counterparties and shipping partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in LPG or related commodity trading.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and make independent trading decisions.
• Deep understanding of global LPG markets, pricing structures and related products such as naphtha and gasoline.
• Strong commercial acumen with a focus on risk management and value creation.
