Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our team on a 6‑month freelance contract. The role is hybrid, combining onsite work in the UAE with remote contributions. You will design, develop, deploy and maintain machine‑learning solutions that drive key business initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning models and AI solutions.
• Build and maintain end‑to‑end machine learning pipelines for data ingestion, training, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver production‑ready solutions.
• Optimize models for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement MLOps best practices for model deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Work with large datasets to extract insights and improve model effectiveness.
• Develop APIs and services to support machine learning applications in production environments.
• Ensure data quality, model accuracy, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Troubleshoot issues related to model performance and deployment.
• Stay up to date with emerging AI and machine learning technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering, AI Development, or related roles.
• Experience delivering projects in enterprise‑scale environments, preferably within the UAE or GCC region.
• Familiarity with large language models and generative AI solutions.
• Experience with Databricks, Spark, or other big data technologies.
• Knowledge of model monitoring, governance, and Responsible AI practices.
