Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Maintenance Manager will lead the upkeep of plant machinery, equipment and utility services across production, warehouses and related facilities, ensuring minimal operational disruptions. Reporting to the Factory Manager, the role is based in Sharjah, UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and direct daily maintenance activities and supervise the maintenance team.
• Coordinate procurement of spare parts, new machinery and facilities with suppliers, contractors and the Purchase Department.
• Implement continuous improvement projects and manage external contractors for specialised jobs.
• Inspect fire protection systems, conduct fire drills and promote safety awareness.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts, conduct yearly stock counts and manage budgetary spending.
• Liaise with Production, Logistics and Warehousing to resolve breakdown bottlenecks.
• Report maintenance performance, incidents and KPI results to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• Post‑graduate qualification in Electromechanical Systems is an advantage.
• At least 5 years of supervisory maintenance experience, preferably in a chemical or industrial environment.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and sustainable asset management.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
