Maintenance Mechanical Engineer – Dubai

About the role

Eaton is looking for a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to join its Dubai hub, supporting the new sustainable campus and advanced manufacturing lines. The role focuses on ensuring mechanical equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement across cam‑controlled and injection‑molding systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance strategies for mechanical systems.
• Analyse downtime, MTBF and MTTR data to identify failure modes and improve machine availability.
• Lead structured root‑cause analysis (RCA, A3, 5 Why) for mechanical failures on cam‑controlled, injection‑molding and automated production equipment.
• Define inspection routines, lubrication plans, wear‑part replacement schedules and overhaul intervals.
• Own mechanical performance of critical equipment such as cam‑controlled forming machines and plastic injection molding units.
• Collaborate with production, toolmaking and engineering teams to enhance machine stability and cycle‑time consistency.
• Deploy predictive maintenance using condition data, wear analysis and failure trends.
• Support equipment commissioning, industrialisation and ensure readiness for serial production.

Required profile

• Proven experience maintaining cam‑controlled forming and assembly machines.
• Hands‑on expertise with mechanical aspects of plastic injection molding equipment.
• Ability to work closely with production, toolmaking and engineering teams in an industrial environment.
