Maintenance Technician I

About the role

The Maintenance Technician I provides prompt and reliable maintenance support for guest areas and facilities at our Dubai location. You will respond to repair requests, perform preventive maintenance and ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment and machines, and identify shut‑off valves for utilities.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and log daily activities for shift hand‑over.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and thorough clean‑up.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical components, HVAC filters, lighting and other guestroom items.
• Program televisions, manage housekeeping‑engineering inventory and use lockout/tagout procedures before work.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Update air‑handler schedules and temperature settings using basic computer skills.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and carpentry.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb safely.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality and adherence to safety policies.
• Strong communication skills and a guest‑service mindset.
