Manager – Business Advisory & Buying

About the role

The Manager – Business Advisory & Buying will support the Chief Business Officer (CBO) of Homecentre in shaping strategy and driving transformation across the retail value chain. Working on both store and e‑commerce channels, you will provide research‑based insights that influence key decisions and help identify growth levers.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to the CBO, contributing to the annual strategic planning process and identifying high‑impact initiatives.
• Maintain and update performance dashboards, monitor KPIs and prepare analytical reports for senior leadership.
• Manage the CBO’s agenda, prepare meeting materials, and ensure timely flow of information for decision‑making.
• Build cross‑functional relationships to secure stakeholder buy‑in and foster long‑term partnerships.
• Lead cross‑departmental projects, coordinate multiple stakeholders, conduct benchmarking, analyse data and present recommendations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field from a Tier‑1 institution.
• 4‑5 years of experience in business advisory, strategy, or buying within a retail environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office suite.
• Project management capabilities.
