Manager - Business Development

About the role

The Manager – Business Development will lead the formulation and execution of AD Ports Group’s Ports Unit growth strategy. Reporting to senior leadership, the role is responsible for creating new revenue streams, expanding existing services, and strengthening relationships with customers and partners across the maritime sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and manage large‑ticket strategic opportunities that generate economic and commercial value for the Ports Cluster.
• Drive business leads, negotiate and draft commercial contracts for port facilities and related services.
• Explore and propose alliances or joint‑venture opportunities that align with the group’s strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with other AD Ports Group clusters to design unified cross‑cluster solutions.
• Translate financial targets and budgets into actionable business plans and commercial models.
• Lead strategic procurement initiatives for the Ports Cluster.
• Focus on developing offshore, ship‑repair and petrochemical business lines.
• Provide visionary leadership, coaching and mentorship to the business development team.
• Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on market trends and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in a comparable business development or commercial role, preferably within the port or maritime industry.
• Excellent command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Proven track record of delivering financial and non‑financial targets.
