Manager - Civil Construction

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Manager – Civil Construction to lead large‑scale civil projects in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards while coordinating a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular on‑site inspections of workmanship, materials, and activities to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Supervise contractors, subcontractors and laborers, ensuring efficient execution and timeline adherence.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals and change orders promptly.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily reports, inspection logs and technical records.
• Identify and resolve technical issues on‑site, applying innovative solutions.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and project managers to ensure transparent communication.
• Monitor budgets and schedules, report variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform material testing and quality‑assurance activities to verify compliance.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Support sustainable construction practices and enforce safety protocols.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 + years of professional experience in civil construction project management.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale projects with multi‑million‑dollar budgets.
• Strong knowledge of construction management processes, safety standards and quality control.
