Manager Fleet Airworthiness

About the role

The Manager Fleet Airworthiness leads the airworthiness function for Etihad’s fleet, ensuring all aircraft hold valid Certificates of Airworthiness and Airworthiness Review Certificates. Reporting to the Senior Manager Fleet Airworthiness, the role combines technical oversight, regulatory liaison and safety management.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and control aircraft physical surveys and review of technical records (modifications, ADs, damage assessments, life‑limited parts, placards, etc.) for COA and ARC issuance.
• Identify deficiencies, coordinate corrective actions and maintain compliance with CAR M requirements.
• Develop and improve survey checklists and contribute to the Technical Procedures Manual.
• Liaise with the GCAA on certificate issuance, renewals and regulatory feedback.
• Produce technical reports on ARC inspections, flag adverse trends and advise senior management.
• Manage non‑assigned fleet inspections, audit plans and non‑conformance reporting.
• Lead safety‑related projects, implement SMS processes and conduct formal risk assessments.
• Promote a safe working environment and support employee involvement in Etihad’s Safety Management System.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of aviation experience, including at least 5 years in airworthiness management.
• Proven experience with Certificate of Airworthiness and Airworthiness Review Certificate processes.
• Strong knowledge of UAE civil aviation regulations (CAR M) and GCAA procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage regulatory projects.
