Manager, Know Your Customer (KYC)

About the role

ADNOC Trading Limited is seeking an experienced Manager, Know Your Customer (KYC) to join its Treasury & Financing Division in Abu Dhabi. The role will lead the design and implementation of KYC policies and ensure compliance with AML, ABC, CFT and sanctions regulations across the company’s global commodity trading activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enforce KYC policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Oversee day‑to‑day KYC processing and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Lead Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for high‑risk clients.
• Provide expert guidance on complex KYC issues and act as the escalation point for compliance matters.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, investigations and training programmes.
• Drive technology solutions for KYC compliance in partnership with IT teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Compliance, Law or related field (master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in compliance or control environments, with at least 10 years in a KYC function, preferably within commodities or energy trading.
• Strong knowledge of AML, ABC, CFT, sanctions rules and advanced screening techniques.
• Experience working in commodity trading environments.
