Manager Network Planning

About the role

The Manager Network Planning will lead the analysis and optimisation of Etihad's route network, supporting strategic fleet development and partnership agreements. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures that network decisions maximise revenue and align with the airline's long‑term growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the network planning team, implementing scheduling strategies that enhance profitability.
• Analyse network performance, propose solutions to issues, and support the route performance process.
• Lead research and forecasting for existing and future routes to optimise capacity and revenue.
• Conduct economic evaluations of new routes, codeshare options and partnership scenarios, assessing demand, competition, costs and financial risk.
• Provide senior management with accurate seasonal capacity forecasts and detailed business cases.
• Collaborate with airline partners to identify synergies and drive alliance development.
• Continuously improve network management processes, troubleshoot problems and implement new systems.
• Supervise the preparation and interpretation of flight profitability data to ensure alignment with forecasts.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in network planning, scheduling or development within the airline industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Abu Dhabi (no remote work).
