Manager – Offshore Commissioning (WHT, Subsea Cable, Piping)

About the role

Penspen is urgently seeking a Manager of Commissioning for offshore Wellhead Towers (WHT), subsea cables, piping systems and brownfield modifications on a major offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall management, coordination and execution of offshore commissioning activities covering WHTs, subsea cables, piping and brownfield tie‑ins.
• Provide leadership from commissioning preparation through pre‑commissioning, functional testing, start‑up, performance testing and final handover to Operations.
• Develop and implement the project commissioning execution strategy, establish priorities, and align activities with the project schedule and offshore execution plans.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary commissioning efforts across mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and control systems, ensuring resources, tools and specialist personnel are available.
• Manage subsea power, control, communication and fiber‑optic cable commissioning, including cable pull‑in, termination, hang‑off and connection activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 20+ years of experience, with at least 5‑8 years in offshore projects.
• Proven track record managing multidiscipline offshore commissioning activities, especially WHTs, offshore platforms, piping systems and subsea cables.
• Demonstrated ability to lead commissioning teams through system completion, pre‑commissioning, start‑up and handover.
• Experience with subsea cable pull‑in, termination, testing and integration is strongly preferred.
• Preferred background in PMC/EPC environments; ADNOC offshore experience is an advantage.
