Manager on Duty

About the role

The Manager on Duty acts as the property’s senior on‑site leader, overseeing all operations to ensure the highest standards of hospitality are delivered. Reporting directly to senior management, this role coordinates guest services, resolves issues promptly, and maintains seamless communication across departments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily property operations and act as the primary point of contact for guests in the lobby.
• Manage guest relations, track service issues, and ensure timely resolution.
• Distribute daily MOD reports to all departments and monitor compliance with policies and standards.
• Review staffing levels, financial statements, and performance data to meet operational and profitability goals.
• Intervene in guest or associate situations to protect the property’s integrity and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Promote continuous improvement and guest‑centric culture during departmental meetings.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or a related area, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and empower associates.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
