Manager - Road And Highway Design

About the role

The Manager – Road and Highway Design ensures that all roadway designs, alignments, access points, and mobility solutions meet AD Ports’ development standards, DMT regulations, and national infrastructure requirements. You will lead technical reviews, provide expert engineering evaluations, and coordinate with authorities to deliver safe and efficient road networks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical review of road and highway design submissions for compliance with standards and guidelines.
• Assess geometric design, cross‑sections, alignments, pavement structures, junction layouts, and access strategies.
• Evaluate traffic impact studies, access management plans, vehicle circulation, turning radii, parking layouts, and public‑transport integration.
• Verify connectivity to existing networks, right‑of‑way allocations, and master‑plan infrastructure tie‑ins.
• Review utility corridor layouts within road reserves for wet and dry utilities.
• Provide technical comments to developers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Analyze road safety elements such as visibility, pedestrian crossings, intersection control, and speed‑calming measures.
• Coordinate with planning, urban design, infrastructure, and environmental teams for integrated solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, review summaries, and approval recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in road and highway design review and approval processes.
• Strong knowledge of national roadway design guidelines, DMT regulations, and infrastructure standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and authorities.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
