Managing Director

About the role

The Managing Director is the most senior operational leader for a regional business unit, responsible for performance, culture and strategic direction. Reporting directly to the group board, this role represents the organisation at the highest external levels and drives commercial success across the GCC.

Key responsibilities

• Hold full P&L responsibility for the regional or business‑unit operation.
• Lead, inspire and develop the senior leadership team, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Own and nurture the most significant client and stakeholder relationships across the region.
• Set and execute the strategic plan in alignment with the group board.
• Drive revenue growth through existing relationships and new market development.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across all jurisdictions of operation.
• Represent the region in global leadership forums and report directly to the board.

Required profile

• 15–20 years of progressive leadership experience, with at least five years at Managing Director, General Manager or equivalent level.
• Significant GCC experience is essential.
• Proven P&L ownership and ability to lead large, senior teams.
• Strong external presence and internal decisive leadership.
• Commercially aggressive mindset while maintaining integrity.
• Established C‑suite network across the region.
