Manual Lathe Operator – Lathe Operator II

About the role

Future Pipe Industries is seeking a skilled Manual Lathe Operator (Lathe Operator II) to set up, program and run both manual and CNC lathes in its Abu Dhabi manufacturing facility. The role focuses on producing precision metal and plastic components while ensuring safety, quality and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings, select fixtures and tools, and load CNC programs or dial in manual lathe settings.
• Run production lots on manual and CNC lathes, monitor machining parameters and adjust speeds/feeds to maintain tolerances.
• Measure finished parts with calipers, micrometers and gauges to verify dimensional and surface‑finish requirements.
• Diagnose common machining issues, perform routine preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs with the maintenance team.
• Assist and mentor Lathe Operator I staff, communicate production issues to supervisors and record production data in the ERP system.

Required profile

• Technical diploma in machining or equivalent certification (ITI Certificate).
• 2–4 years of experience operating manual and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental procedures, including PPE use and lock‑out/tag‑out.
