Master Planner – Urban Design & Planning (UAE)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Master Planner to join Egis in the UAE, supporting master‑planning and urban‑design projects for complex development programmes. The role involves creating planning layouts, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and handling authority submissions in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare master‑planning layouts, land‑use plans and urban‑design drawings.
• Develop technical packages and construction drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Support the preparation of Master Plan Local Submission (MPLS) documents and coordinate authority approvals with UAE planning bodies.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, landscape designers and other disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site analysis, zoning reviews and development‑control checks.
• Produce presentations, diagrams and reports using Adobe Creative Suite.
• Incorporate authority feedback and revise plans as required.
• Assist senior planners from concept through to approval stages.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture or a related field.
• 5–7 years of professional experience in master planning or urban design.
• Experience working in the UAE or GCC region, with knowledge of Dubai and Abu Dhabi planning regulations.
• Strong organisational, communication and time‑management abilities.
